This is a Van Ness Construction Forecast for July 10, 2017 – July 21, 2017. As you may know, major upgrades are underway on Van Ness Avenue to rehabilitate our aging infrastructure. For the latest news, please see: sfmta.com/vanness. Construction Forecast: July 10, 2017 – July 21, 2017

Construction crews resurfaced the median of Van Ness Avenue and built curbs around remaining trees that will be protected through construction.This work will prepare the roadway to be flexible for lane changes in order to allow utility replacements, safety enhancements and transportation improvements that are included in the Van Ness Improvement Project.

The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions. For more project details, please visit sfmta.com/vanness.

Those who travel in and through the area are advised to take alternate routes and plan for delays.

Monday, July 10: Traffic control maintenance and construction site preparation will be conducted on Van Ness between Lombard and Mission streets. Sawcutting for archeological potholes will take place on Van Ness from Mission to Market streets and Vallejo to Lombard streets.

Tuesday, July 11: Traffic control maintenance and construction site preparation will be conducted on Van Ness between Lombard and Mission streets. Saw-cutting for archeological potholes will take place on Van Ness from Mission to Market streets and Vallejo to Lombard streets.

Between the hours of 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, crews will remark traffic lanes traveling northbound from Golden Gate to Turk streets.

Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 13: Traffic control maintenance and construction site preparation will be conducted on Van Ness between Lombard and Mission streets. Potholing for archeological purposes will occur from Greenwich to Lombard streets.

Friday, July 14 and Monday, July 17: Traffic control maintenance and construction site preparation will be conducted on Van Ness between Lombard and Mission streets. Potholing for archeological purposes will occur from Filbert to Greenwich streets.

Tuesday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 19: Traffic control maintenance and construction site preparation will be conducted on Van Ness between Lombard and Mission Streets. Potholing for archeological purposes will occur from Union to Filbert streets.

Thursday, July 20 and Friday, July 21: Traffic control maintenance and construction site preparation will be conducted on Van Ness between Lombard and Mission streets. Potholing for archeological purposes will occur from Green to Union streets.
