Supporting Business on Van Ness

Van Ness businesses encouraged to take Open for Business Survey

To provide direct and customized marketing support to Van Ness corridor businesses through construction, the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) has created the Open for Business program.

To tailor this construction support program to meet the unique needs of local businesses along the corridor, Van Ness merchants are being asked to take a five-minute survey. The survey can be found online at surveymonkey.com/r/VanNessOFB. If you have questions about the program or how you can get involved, email [email protected].

Be a voice for business on Van Ness!

The SFMTA is seeking applications to fill vacated seats on the Van Ness Business Advisory Committee.

The Van Ness Business Advisory Committee is made up of representatives from a diverse cross-section of Van Ness project corridor businesses. Members act as the voice of the community and provide recommendations and advice on how staff can best work with local businesses during construction of the Van Ness Improvement Project to bring out the character that has made this vital thoroughfare one of the city’s grand avenues.

The Van Ness Business Advisory Committee meets monthly on third Thursdays and operates independently from the Van Ness Bus Rapid Transit Community Advisory Committee, focusing on the impact the project has on local businesses.

People who represent businesses on Van Ness corridor and the neighboring community are encouraged to apply. Note that applications are due no later than Thursday, August 31, 2017.
